Make Pomfret paturi

Making Pomfret paturi is not very hard. Everyone can make it. So just follow these steps and try. And make fish paturi.

Ingredients ( for one people):

Pomfret fish- 1 piece
Green chilli- 2 piece
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tbsp
Black mustard- 1 tbsp
Yellow mustard-1 tbsp
Grated Coconut- 2 tbsp
Garlic- 1 piece
Onion- 1 tbsp
Salt – as per your taste
Mustard oil- 1tbsp
Suger- a pinch of
Banana leaf- 1 piece

Method of Making Pomfret paturi:

These are the simplest method of making Pomfret Paturi.
1.  Apply turmeric powder and salt and some mustard oil on fish and rest for 15 minutes.
2.  Make a fine paste of above ingredients without fish.
3.  Marinate the fish with prepared paste and rest for another 10 minutes.
4.  Toast the banana leaf on the open fire or on the pan or tawa and place the piece of marinated fish on the banana leaf and wrap it carefully. You can use some thread for tie it up. Apply some oil on tawa for avoiding burning.
5.  Cook it for 15 minutes. Every 5 minutes turn it over in medium heat. Serve with hot steam rice.

Make Bhetki( barramundi fish) paturi:

Now learn to make Bhetki Paturi.

Ingredients (for one people):

Bhetki fish- 1piece
Black mustard- 1 tbsp
Yellow mustard-1 tbsp
Mustard oil- 1 tbsp
Grated coconut- 2 tbsp
Salt- as per your taste
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tbsp
Onion- 1 tbsp
Garlic- 1 piece
Green chilli- 2 piece
Banana leaf- 1 piece

Method of Making Bhetki Paturi:

1.  Apply some mustard oil, turmeric powder, salt on the fish and rest for 15 minutes.
2.  Make a fine paste of rest of the ingredients.
3. Marinate the fish with prepared paste and rest for another 10 minutes.
4.  Toast the banana leaf and place the fish on the leaf and carefully wrap it. You can use a thread for tie it up.
5.  Place the parcel on tawa or pan and cook it for 15 minutes. Every 5 minutes must be turned over the parcel. You can apply oil on tawa for avoiding burning. Served with hot steam rice.
